Even after working with countless woods I can confidently say I have a favorite species - Desert Ironwood from Arizona. This exquisite cane features a handle of figured desert ironwood that is outstanding quality material with golden chatoyance and wild, contrasting bands. The shaft is desert ironwood too, a rarity that I seldom offer, its such a difficult wood to source in long lengths on account of being a small desert tree. Brass is always my metal of choice with ironwood as it pairs so nicely with the golden shimmery grain. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
