Curly Rosewood Cane
Curly Rosewood Cane
This heirloom quality cane features two rosewood species. The handle is a rare rosewood species to begin with, but it has curl figure making it considerably rarer. It is Dalbergia Dongnaiensis, a rosewood so obscure that it only has a Latin scientific name, its from S. E. Asia. Once this material is gone I'll never see more. The divider has two layers of copper with a centerpiece of end-grain oriented Needlewood from Australia showing off a very unique grain. The shaft is old Honduran rosewood, one of the classic rosewoods that is now a protected species and getting quite scarce. This one would make a great daily use cane with durable and dense woods. Cane weight is medium towards heavy, still usable by most anyone but users of small stature my tire with long walks. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
