Red Rosewood Raptor's Claw Cane
Red Rosewood Raptor's Claw Cane
Here’s an Heirloom quality raptor’s claw cane with incredible pieces of rare wood. The handle is Siamese rosewood which is very rare and extremely sought after. The wood is dense, durable, and can be spectacularly colored with a fine chatoyance, as seen here. Its also curl figured, making its grain much more complex and interesting, and considerably rarer. The divider is brass set at an angle with four lapidary inlays of blue sodalite stone that have a webby appearance with blacks and whites. The shaft is a wonderful piece of black and white Laotian ebony, one of the rarest of the ebony species. Its grain has a very nice effect long the length of the cane. Harder to appreciate in the images than it is in person, so if you like the pictures, you’ll love it! These dense and heavy woods give this cane a heavy feel, users of small stature may tire with use. Would make a great daily use cane. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
