This stunning hand crafted walking cane is made from a very rare wood, Pink Ivory from South Africa. This species is the most pink colored wood in the world, and it is really pink! The wood is so rare that historically in South Africa anyone in possession of Pink Ivory except for the Zulu king would be put to death; they considered it rarer than diamonds. On the end of the handle is a lapidary decoration of silver sheen obsidian. If the stone is observed directly from the rear of the cane than silver bands show inside the otherwise jet black stone. The black of the obsidian ties into the equally black Nigerian ebony shaft. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
