Here a handsome cane with a handle made out of yellow box burl from Australia, light in color and very dense wood, this piece has some burl eye figure and swirly grain. The shaft is Cumaru wood from Northern S. America. This species was recently added to the list of protected species, but its not a rare wood in the exotic timber realm. In fact, Cumaru is a premium wood for high-end decking and outdoor building applications because its extremely dense and rot resistant as well. A heavy cane, users of smaller stature may tire with use. Should prove to be a very durable daily use cane. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
