Yellow Box and Eucalyptus Cane

$400.00

Here a handsome cane with a handle made out of yellow box burl from Australia, light in color and very dense wood, this piece has some burl eye figure and swirly grain. The shaft is also from Australia, its curl figured and chatoyant Eucalyptus wood, its dense and durable too. In the divider are two thick layers of brass and in the middle is a piece of bone from the extinct Stellar’s Sea cow, excavated from ancient Inuit hunting grounds of St. Lawrence island. A unique bit of natural history! A good daily use cane, medium in weight, could be used by most anyone. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
