Amboyna and Limba Claw Cane
Amboyna and Limba Claw Cane
A light and bright beauty, this handmade claw cane has a blond amboyna burl handle in a claw shape, and an African white limba wood shaft. Most amboyna burl is a either a red or orange color, but this piece is sapwood and a pleasant light beige. It is also spalted adding grey coloring to the amboyna. There's matching amboyna in the divider along with brass and two thin layers of grey spalted curly maple. Finished with a limba wood shaft which is very bright for wood, just an off-white. This piece is also light in weight. A good balance aid, it should not be used to bear much weight. It measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
Disclaimer: Use of African Limba wood could spontaneously inspire limbo dancing.
