Lanceolaria Raptor's Claw Cane
Lanceolaria Raptor's Claw Cane
This heirloom quality raptor's claw cane is handcrafted from a rosewood species so rare that it doesn't have a "common name" only its Latin scientific name, Dalbergia Lanceolaria. Lanceolaria is my favorite rosewood, I have always been enamored by the intricate grain and its collection of different colors that range from black, to greys, to light beige, to purples The shaft and handle are both highly figured with amazing patterns and irregularity in its grain that is very attractive. The handle also has birdseye figure. Figures like this in a wood species so rare makes this a truly unique offering. In the divider is a special piece of history from the Siberian Permafrost, its woolly mammoth molar. This piece of extinct mammoth tooth dates back to the last ice age and is at least 10,000 years old, potentially much older. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
